WSSC & St. Christopher’s invite you to beat the bounds.
The ancient rural tradition whereby parishioners check the parish boundary and beat the heads of the boys of the parish on the boundary so that they will remember where it is. We no longer beat the heads of boys but do enjoy good walks.
Beating the bounds is held on Rogation Sunday, a day for praying for the gardens and crops of the coming summer.
After the walks, we can enjoy well-deserved refreshment and lunch in Village Hall.
Another great village day!
